Genus. in 1903 in Sevastopol. He lived in Moscow, worked as the head of terrariums at the Moscow Zoo and was a graduate student at the Institute of Zoology at the 1st Moscow State University. Member of the Moscow scout movement. He was arrested by the OGPU in 1923 for transmitting information about scouts abroad to O.I. Pantyukhov. Arrested on March 19, 1924 in Moscow on charges of organizing scout troops. Soon released on his own recognizance not to leave Moscow. Arrested for the second time on April 22, 1926 in Moscow on charges of participation in an “anti-Soviet illegal organization of scouts.” By resolution of the OS at the OGPU Collegium dated August 26, 1926, he was exiled to the Urals for a period of 3 years. Here he married Nizhny Novgorod scout N.A. Katanskaya. At the end of the period of exile, he was deprived of the right to reside in a number of cities with attachment to his place of residence for a period of three years; he lived in Kazan. Arrested again on March 25, 1931 in Kazan and sentenced to 3 years in prison. From 11/18/1931 - in the Administration of the Svir camps of the NKVD in the Leningrad region. In 1934, upon his release, he moved to Nizhny Novgorod. Based on arrest in 1926, he was rehabilitated by the Moscow City Court in 1964. Based on arrest in 1931, he was rehabilitated by the Prosecutor’s Office of the Tatar Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic on October 22, 1989.
