Chirkova Sofia (Soshka) Fedorovna
Biotechnician at the Central Biological Research Station
Born in 1908 in Murom, lived in Moscow. Biotechnician at the central biological research station. Member of the Moscow scout movement. She directed an amateur scout theater. Arrested by the OGPU on November 4, 1926 “for scouting activities.” By resolution of the USC OGPU dated January 28, 1927, she was deprived of the right to reside in Moscow, Leningrad and other large cities for a period of 3 years. Lived in Tula. She was again arrested by the OGPU on March 19, 1933, on charges of crimes under Art. 58-10, 11 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR. By resolution of the USC OGPU dated May 10, 1933, she was expelled to the Northern Territory for a period of 3 years. In 1989 she was rehabilitated in the 1933 case, in 1991 - in the 1926 case.
