Bostrem Gleb Ivanovich
Naval sailor
Born March 25, 1898 in Nikolaev, Kherson province. Studied at the 1st Cadet Corps and the Naval Corps, navigator on the icebreaker "Fyodor Litke". Naval officer, participant in World War I and the Civil War. Lived in Arkhangelsk. Arrested on June 7, 1923 by the Arkhangelsk provincial department of the GPU, charged under Articles 57, 61, 63 of the Criminal Code (leadership of the scout movement in Arkhangelsk in 1921-1923, continuation of underground work after the liquidation of scout organizations, maintaining contacts with foreign boy scout organizations). Released on November 22, 1923, the criminal case was dismissed. Arrested again by the OGPU on January 23, 1926, charged under Article 61 of the Criminal Code (aiding and abetting espionage and leadership of a scout organization). From September 1926 he was imprisoned in the Solovetsky camp. By the decree of the OS under the KOGPU dated 19.10.1928, he was released from the camp early and exiled for 3 years to the Barabinsky district of the Siberian region. From 1932 he lived in Leningrad (Proletarskoy Pobeda Ave., 60/10, apt. 7). He worked as the Head of the Technical Calculation Sector of the Sudomek plant, then as a senior inspector at the A. Marty plant. By the decree of the OS NKVD dated 04.03.1935 "as a socially dangerous element, together with his family in the person of one person" (with his wife and son) he was exiled for 5 years to the city of Irgiz, Aktobe region (KazSSR). By the decree of the OS NKVD dated 19.07.1935, he was allowed to live within Kazakhstan, he moved to the city of Kustanai. By the decree of the Troika of the NKVD Directorate for the Kustanai region. Sentenced to capital punishment on 04.12.1937. Shot on 09.12.1937. Rehabilitated in the 1937 case on 10.12.1963. Rehabilitated in the 1935 case by the Leningrad Military District Military Prosecutor's Office on 4.11.1999.
