In 1935 she graduated from the Russian-Serbian gymnasium in Belgrade and entered the medical faculty of the University of Belgrade, but did not graduate due to the difficult financial situation of the family. Member of the NTSNP since 1936, she was on the board of the Yugoslav department of the Union. During the war years she worked in the occupied territory of Russia. She was arrested twice.
