Born in 1898 in the town of Sengiley, Simbirsk province; Russian; from the bourgeoisie; higher education: in 1918 he graduated from the Kazan Industrial School (technician-mechanic), in 1924 - from the Petrograd Polytechnic Institute (mechanical engineer). In 1919-1920 he served in the Red Army, participated in the battles against Kolchak. From 1924 he worked in the Ostekhbyuro. In 1929 - head of the mine department of the Ostekhbyuro, chief designer of the M-26 mine and the hull-mechanical part of the mines of the Design Bureau and AG. From 1929 he lived in Leningrad (Maly pr. P.S., 36-38, apt. 80), taught at the Institute of Civil Air Fleet, the Leningrad Military Mechanical Institute, where he became a professor and head of department, at the Naval Academy of the Red Army. Arrested on 10.09.1938. Sentenced by the Supreme Commission of the Supreme Council of the USSR on 18.07.1941 to 10 years in a correctional labor camp. By the Resolution of the General Council of the NKVD of the USSR dated 12.01.1944, the term was reduced by 1 year. By the Resolution of the General Council of the NKVD of the USSR dated 08.09.1945, the term was reduced by another year. Rehabilitated by the Supreme Commission of the Supreme Council of the USSR on 10.08.1955. After his release, he headed the departments of technical mechanics first at the Kiev Polytechnic, then at the Kharkov Polytechnic Institute. He died in 1975.
