Genus. in 1902 in Tsaritsyn; Jew; higher education (graduated from Moscow Communist University); member of the RCP(b) since 1920. During the Civil War he worked in Komsomol organizations and was a political instructor on the Western Front. In 1926–1927 – Associate Professor of the Department of Theory and Practice of Scientific Socialism at the Pedagogical Institute; from 1929 - head of the department of Leninism at the Military Technical Academy named after. Dzerzhinsky; in 1929–1938 – professor at the Tolmachev Military-Political Academy. In 1935–1938 and 1940–1941 – professor, head of the department of Leninism at the Leningrad Industrial Institute. Arrested 09/18/1938. Charged under Art. 58-10, 58-11 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR. By resolution of the Leningrad NKVD dated 02/05/1940, the case was terminated, and on 02/08/1940 he was released from custody. He was reinstated in rank and returned to his position at LII with payment of compensation “for forced absence.” In 1941 - brigade commissar of the 1st Leningrad militia division. He died on August 15, 1941 and was buried in a military grave in the civil cemetery of the village of Tereboni, Batetsky district, Novgorod region.
