Genus. in 1900 in Irkutsk; Russian; from the nobles; higher education; b/p. In 1918 he served in the Red Army. During the breakthrough of the White Guards, they were mobilized to repair the radio station in Irkutsk; soon fled from Siberia. Graduated from the Leningrad Polytechnic Institute in 1920. Lived in Leningrad, research fellow at the Leningrad Electrophysical Institute and VTI (under A.I. Ioffe). In 1931 - creator of equipment for electrical prospecting. Arrested 03/04/1935. On 03/07/1935 the OS under the NKVD of the USSR was sentenced to deportation to Orenburg for 5 years and deprivation of the right to reside in 15 settlements for a period of 5 years. On 04/03/1936 the decree of 03/07/1935 was cancelled. He returned to Leningrad and worked at the Institute of Applied Physics. At the beginning of the war, he was evacuated in Vladimir and worked at the Design Bureau of Plant No. 250 of the People's Commissariat of Ammunition. In 1945 he designed one of the first gamma radiometers for searching for uranium; from November - Deputy Director for Scientific Affairs of Research Institute No. 504 in the system of the People's Commissariat of Ammunition (Moscow). In the 1960s, after refusing to develop something that was impossible from his point of view as a specialist, he was demoted to engineer and then retired. In September 1983 he died.
