The commander of a cavalry regiment in the Red Army, in November 1918 he went over to the side of the Whites and took part in the attack on Petrograd. Since 1919, he commanded Russian units in the Estonian and then in the Polish armies. In August 1920, Bulak-Bulakhovich's divisions fought in Volyn. In 1940 he was killed in Warsaw by an “unknown person”.
