Genus. in 1902 in the village. Bezrukovo, now Nizhne-Lomovsky district of the Penza region. In the Red Army since 1920. In 1920-1922. - operational officer, commissar, authorized representative of the special department of the 5th Army. Participated in the suppression of the Kronstadt uprising (1921). In 1922-1930 - investigator of the military tribunals of the East Siberian Military District, Turkestan Front, 17th Rifle Division, 3rd Rifle Corps, separate special purpose division named after. F. E. Dzerzhinsky. From December 1930 to February 1933 - prosecutor under the People's Commissar of Justice of the USSR. From February 1933 to September 1934 - assistant military prosecutor of the military prosecutor's office of the OGPU (then NKVD) of the Moscow region. From September 1934 to November 1935 - military prosecutor of the Main Military Prosecutor's Office of the Red Army. From November 1935 to August 1937 - deputy military prosecutor, from August 1937 to August 1938 - military prosecutor of the military prosecutor's office of the NKVD of the Moscow region. From August 1938 to June 1941 - military prosecutor of the military prosecutor's office of the NKVD troops of the Moscow Military District.In July - October 1941 - military prosecutor of the Reserve Front, in October - November 1941 - of the 53rd Army, from November 1941 to September 1942 - of the Central Asian Military District. From September 1942 to January 1944 - Deputy Chief Prosecutor of the Navy.
From January 1944 to March 1946 - Deputy Prosecutor of the USSR, from March 1946 to 1954 - Prosecutor General of the USSR. In 1950-1954, simultaneously Chief Military Prosecutor.
As Deputy Prosecutor General of the USSR, he led the work of supervising the investigation of special cases in the bodies of the NKGB-MGB of the USSR. In particular, in 1950 he signed an indictment on the “Leningrad case”.
After the revision of the “Leningrad case” and the rehabilitation of all those convicted (1954), he was removed from office. By resolution of the Council of Ministers of the USSR dated 08/06/1955, he was demoted to private and dismissed from the Armed Forces. By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR, he was deprived of all awards.
Since 1955, he worked in the prosecutor's office in Siberia and Moscow.
