Genus. in 1956 in Kyiv. Member of the Church of Evangelical Christian Baptists (ECB). The son of the leader of the Council of Churches of the ECB G.P. Vince. Member of the Ukrainian Helsinki Group. Arrested 02/15/1978. Sentenced by the Podolsk District Court of Kyiv on 04/06/1978 under Art. 214 part 1 of the Criminal Code of the Ukrainian SSR (in fact, for participation in the Moscow Helsinki Group) to 1 year of the penal colony. Father and son Vince were deported abroad (to the USA) largely thanks to the intercession of Andrei Sakharov and his wife Elena Bonner. He returned to Russia in 1993, as a sign of gratitude to A.D. Sakharov. in 2000, he established an award named after him for journalists.
