Born in 1882 in Poltava; Jewish; secondary education; no n. In 1920 he emigrated from Russia, returned in 1923. Member of the Union of Soviet Writers. Lived in Moscow, Sverchkov per., bldg. 8, apt. 9. Arrested on 01.11.1937. Sentenced on 14.06.1938 by the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court of the USSR on charges of participation in a counter-revolutionary terrorist organization to capital punishment. Shot on 14.06.1938 in Moscow, burial place - Kommunarka. Rehabilitated by the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court of the USSR in February 1961.
