Genus. in 1875 in St. Petersburg; Russian; from the nobility (grandson of the Decembrist P.S. Bobrishchev-Pushkin); graduated from the Imperial School of Law, from 1898 - assistant attorney at law, from 1902 - attorney at law, spoke at criminal and political trials; in 1904 he defended lieutenant E. Grigoriev in the case of the Combat Organization of the Socialist Revolutionary Party, in 1906 - accused in the case of the Kerch pogrom, in 1907 he achieved an acquittal for V. Purishkevich; collaborated in the magazine "Lawyer". Since 1905 - member of the propaganda committee of the Party of Legal Order; one of the organizers of the Constitutional-Marchical Legal Union, a member of its Council; participant of the 1st Congress of the Union on October 17, elected to the Central Committee and the St. Petersburg City Council of the party; from 1911 - comrade of the chairman of the St. Petersburg Council of Octobrists. He joined the left wing of the party and actively supported Stolypin’s reforms; speaker and publicist, employee of the newspapers “Voice of Truth” and “Voice of Moscow”; supporter of a bloc with the Cadets; participant in the Beilis trial. After the October Revolution, he joined the collegium of defenders of rights, acted in the revolutionary tribunal, as a defender of the leader of the Black Hundreds Purishkevich and other monarchists. In 1919 he went to the south of Russia to visit Denikin; after the defeat of Denikin, he emigrated to Serbia, then to France; participant of the “Change of Milestones” movement. Amnestied by V.I. Lenin, he returned to the USSR in 1923. Member of the Leningrad College of Defenders; gave lectures, published a lot; in 1931 - dismissed under 1st category; in August 1933 he was hit by a bus and injured his right hand; remained disabled and dependent on his wife; since 1933 - pensioner. Arrested on January 10, 1935 by the NKVD in the Leningrad Region, accused of “anti-Soviet activities” and “terrorism.” Sentenced on June 22, 1935 by the Military Tribunal of the Leningrad Military District under Art. 58-10, part 1, 19-58-8 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR to capital punishment. By decision of the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court of the USSR dated August 2, 1935, the execution was replaced by 10 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property. As a prisoner in the Solovetsky camp, he was kept at the Filimonovo and Kremlin camps. In June 1937 he was transferred to prison regime. By resolution of the Special Troika of the UNKVD LO dated 10/09/1937 he was sentenced to VMN . Shot on October 27, 1937 in the Sandormokh tract (Karelian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic). Rehabilitated in the cases of 1935 and 1937 on February 20, 1963 by a decision of the Plenum of the Supreme Court of the USSR.
