Litvinova Tatyana Dmitrievna
A resident of Novocherkassk. Arrested (1941). Died in Tomsk prison (1942)
A native of Kursk, Russian, citizen of the USSR, no family history, descended from poor peasants, with a second-grade education and no specific occupation. Lived at 39 Moskovskaya Street in Novocherkassk. Divorced from her husband.
Family:
- Litvinova Tamara Mikhailovna - daughter, born in 1920, lived in Novocherkassk;
- Litvinova Iraida Mikhailovna - daughter, born in 1922, lived in the Ivanovo region;
- Berezina Evgeny Dmitrievich - brother, 66 years old, lived in Dnepropetrovsk.
- Seda[unrazb] Maria Dmitrievna - sister, born in 1889, lived in Dnepropetrovsk.
She was arrested on September 9, 1941, and charged with a crime under Article 58-10, Part 2 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR—allegedly for “being hostile to Soviet power... slandering the lives of workers in the USSR, slandering the Soviet press, praising and awaiting the arrival of Hitler.”
She was held in a Rostov prison, from where she was transferred to Siberia. On December 9, 1941, she arrived at Prison No. 3 of the Novosibirsk Regional Directorate of the NKVD (Tomsk). On June 10, 1942, her personal file was sent to the Special Council of the NKVD of the USSR for review. The defendant, T.D. Litvinova, died in the prison hospital on July 27, 1942; the medical report listed pellagra as the cause of death.
The prisoner's personal file does not contain a photograph, but his cell card briefly describes his features: medium height, grey eyes, light brown hair, "right eye closed."
