A native of the village of Korobeynikovo, Uchpristansky District, Altai Krai, Russian, citizen of the USSR, from peasant kulaks, no pension, illiterate, married. In 1930, he was sentenced by the OGPU troika to 5 years in a labor camp. A participant in the Great Patriotic War, took part in battles. Lived in Tomsk at the address: Batenkova Lane, Building 13, Apt. 1. Did not work anywhere due to health reasons.

He was arrested on November 1, 1951 and charged with anti-Soviet agitation, i.e. a crime under Article 58-10, Part 1 and 58-11 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR. He was taken to the internal prison of the NKVD Directorate for the Novosibirsk Region and placed in cell No. 14. During a medical examination of the arrested man on November 2, 1951, doctor Pechenkina established that the arrested Yachmenev suffered from a number of illnesses, was a group 1 invalid, and “needed inpatient treatment and outside assistance. He cannot be transported.” He was interrogated by investigator Polkovnikov of the Tomsk Region UMBG. On November 10, 1951, he was sent for further detention to Prison No. 1 of the Tomsk Region UMVD for inpatient treatment in a prison hospital. He was admitted to the prison hospital with a diagnosis of “liver cirrhosis with stroke symptoms.” He died on November 21, 1951, from increasing heart failure. The official death certificate states the diagnosis as stage 3 heart failure.
