039: Vasiliev. Vasiliev Petr Vasilievich (1902–1942). Prisoner's personal file

1941 - 1942
Annotation:

A native of the village of Dubrovka, Slavkovsky District, Leningrad Region (at the time of birth, probably in the village of Dubrovka, Slavkovskaya Volost, Pskov District, Pskov Governorate), he was a Russian citizen of the USSR, with a basic education, and came from a middle-class peasant family. He was deprived of his voting rights (his rights were restored in 1931), and in 1930, by decision of the NKVD troika for the Leningrad Region, he was exiled for three years.
He was married and had three children. By 1941, he and his family were living in Kirovsk, Murmansk Oblast, working as a miner at the Kirov mine as an ore release hatch operator.

He was detained on June 30, 1941, by officers of the Kirovsk City NKGB Department in Murmansk Oblast on charges under Article 58-10, Part 2, of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR. On July 3, he was admitted to Prison No. 3 in Kirovsk. He was transferred to Ustyuzhna Prison in Vologda Oblast. From September 1941, he was transferred along the Vologda-Sverdlovsk Prison-Tomsk route.

On December 24, 1941, he was admitted to Tomsk Prison No. 3 as a defendant. On June 10, 1942, the case of investigator P.V. Vasiliev was transferred to the Special Security Department of the NKVD of the USSR for review. He died in the Tomsk Prison hospital on July 8, 1942. Prison doctor Pechenkina listed the cause of death as "pulmonary tuberculosis" and "extreme exhaustion."

The file was discovered by chance in the damp basement of Pretrial Detention Center No. 1, some 80 years after its establishment. It is in poor condition, its pages eaten away by fungus and falling apart. Museum staff attempted to dry the documents and make copies.
