Genus. in 1887 in Opechensky Posad, Borovichi district, Novgorod province; Jew; secondary technical education; member of the RSDLP since 1903. In 1906 and 1907 he was arrested and exiled to Arkhangelsk; Arrested again in 1912, exiled to Novgorod province. In 1920 he lived in Petrograd, worked as an assistant to the head of the economic department of the Petrocommune. Arrested 06/09/1920; sentenced by the Cheka of the Union of Communes of the Northern Region to 5 years in prison; By order of the All-Russian Central Executive Committee of November 4, 1920, he was released from custody. At the end of 1921 he lived in the Petrograd province, worked as the head of the fish department of the Petrocommune, and was characterized by local security officers as a “literary organizer” and an “active” party worker. Arrested again on November 27, 1921; By resolution of the Kogpu on May 26, 1922, the case was terminated, and the undertaking not to leave the place dated January 27, 1922 was annulled. In September 1922 he was kept in Petrograd prison, then deported to Vyatka; arrested on April 15, 1923 for participating in the celebration of the anniversary of the RSDLP; sentenced by the NKVD Commission on Administrative Expulsions on May 11, 1923 on charges of “underground counter-revolutionary work” to imprisonment in the Arkhangelsk concentration camp for 2 years; On May 26, 1923, the same authority sentenced him to deportation to the Vyatka province for 2 years. On May 15, 1925, by a resolution of the OS at the Kogpu, he was deprived of the right to reside in Moscow, Leningrad, Kharkov, Kyiv, Odessa, Rostov-on-Don and the Western Territory. In 1938 he lived in Borovichi, Novgorod region, and worked as a technician repairing a holiday home; arrested 03/20/1938; sentenced to 5 years in labor camp. Since 1949 - in “eternal settlement”. He died in 1978 in Moscow and was buried at the Vostryakovskoye cemetery. Rehabilitated in the 1923 case by the General Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation on March 1, 1994; in the case of 1920 - by the St. Petersburg prosecutor's office. 06/03/1998
