Yogelsen Vladimir Sergeevich
Born in 1913 in St. Petersburg. Graduated from the directing department of the Central Technical University in 1936. Worked as a director at the Leningrad Regional Youth Theater in 1936-1937, and in 1937-1942 as a regular director at the Young Theater (since 1939 — Leningrad Soviet Theater) under the direction of S.E. Radlov. After the war began, he was evacuated with the theater to Pyatigorsk. Finding himself in Pyatigorsk in occupied territory, in 1943 he was taken with the theater to Germany, to Berlin. He was a director at the Grono Musical and Drama Studio (Hamburg), and from 1943 to 1945 he worked as a director at the European Association of Artists. In 1945-1946. — director of the Ensemble of the 2nd Shock Army (Greifswald, Severodvinsk), in 1946-1947 — director of the Severodvinsk Regional Drama Theater. Lived in the city of Molotovsk (Severodvinsk). Arrested on 17.02.1947. Sentenced by the military tribunal of the Arkhangelsk Military District on 31.10.1947 under Art. 58-1 "a" of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR to 20 years of imprisonment. In 1949 he was held in Igarka, Stroyka 503. On 13.10.1956 the term was reduced to 10 years of imprisonment. On 17.09.1955 he was released due to the termination of the case. Rehabilitated on 30.09.1992. He died in 1996.
