Born in 1928 in St. Petersburg; Jewish; no name. In 1947 he entered the Leningrad Zooveterinary Institute. Lived in Leningrad. Arrested on 11.03.1949. Convicted by the SKUD of the Leningrad City Court on 03.06.1949 under Art. 58-10 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR . Sentenced to 10 years in a labor camp with disqualification for 5 years. Imprisoned in the Igarka and Ermakov camps, in Dudinka and Norilsk. Released on 25.01.1955. Worked in the city of Luga, Leningrad Region, as a veterinary orderly at the Krasnaya Zarya state farm. Graduated from the institute and postgraduate studies in absentia. Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences (1974), teacher in specialized schools for sick children. Since 1989, co-chairman of the Leningrad Branch of the All-Union Society "Memorial", first chairman of the Association of Victims of Unjustified Repressions in Leningrad. Died 05/26/2020.
Author of the books: “Survive and Remember”, “We Cannot Forget: The Country of Limonia – the Country of Camps”, “Executioners and Victims”, “The Ashes of Klaas”, “A Forced Journey of Six Years”, based on his memoirs, the third edition of “Construction Site No. 503” (1947–1953) was published.
