Definition: A descendant of the St. Petersburg princes, an artist.

He worked at the Leningrad Philharmonic, a master of artistic expression. He fought in the Patriotic War, was captured, released from a German concentration camp by members of the French resistance. Transferred to Denmark, lived with Prince Yusupov. After his release, he returned to his homeland and was arrested.
