Definition: Soviet geologist, doctor of geological and mineralogical sciences. One of the discoverers of a large primary diamond deposit - the Mir kimberlite pipe in Yakutia. She was friends with many members of the dissident movement and supported them. Among others, she signed a telegram of protest against the condemnation of the "parasite" I. A. Brodsky. She was among the first readers of The Gulag Archipelago, helped to smuggle the manuscripts of A. I. Solzhenitsyn abroad. Was friends with A.A. Akhmatova.
