Born in 1903 in Lodz. Political emigrant from Poland. Lived in Leningrad (Karpovka Embankment, Building 19, Apt. 3). Deputy Director of the Leningrad Detgiz, editor of the children's magazine Chizh, author of children's books. Arrested in March 1938, released. Joined the militia in 1941, quartermaster technician of the 1st rank. Missing in action in August 1941.
