Bryantsev Nikolay Yakovlevich
Mining engineer
Born 05/05/1889 in Warsaw; Russian; higher education; non-partisan. Graduated from the Warsaw Polytechnic Institute (1908), mining engineer. In 1915–1917 he led workshops for the repair of military equipment at the headquarters of the 2nd Army. In 1918, head of the Volga department of the State Chemical Trust. He worked in the supply agencies of the Red Army in Turkestan, then in the mining industry of the Ukrainian SSR and in Moscow (from 1923). In 1924, tried by the OGPU authorities on charges of mismanagement, he was expelled to the Narym region, from where, with the permission of the GPU, he was sent to Novosibirsk to work in Sibplan. In 1927 we were tried by the OGPU on charges of “espionage for Poland.” In 1930, his voting rights were restored. Consultant to the industrial sector of Sibkraiplan, member of the Society for the Study of Siberia. Arrested in Novosibirsk on March 17, 1933 in the “White Guard Conspiracy” case. Sentenced by the OGPU Collegium on 05.08. and 08/27/1933 (according to other data, 08/23/1933) according to Art. 58-2, 11 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR to 10 years in labor camp. Imprisoned in the Solovetsky camp (arrived 09/01/1933). He worked as a chemist (head of a chemical laboratory), and was engaged in research work. Sentenced by a resolution of the Special Troika of the UNKVD LO dated 10/09/1937 to VMN. Shot on October 27, 1937 in the Sandormokh tract (Karelian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic). Rehabilitated by the ruling of the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court of the USSR dated July 29, 1958.
