Born in 1890 in St. Petersburg; nobleman; Russian; b/p; higher education. Head of the department of the Academy of the General Staff of the Red Army, corps commander. Lived in Moscow, B. Trubetskoy lane, 16, apt. 6. Arrested on July 17, 1937. Sentenced by the USSR High Command on February 7, 1938, on charges of espionage. Shot on 02/08/1938 in Moscow. Burial place - Kommunarka. Rehabilitated by the Military Commissariat of the USSR Armed Forces on August 24, 1957.
