Savvateev (Savateev) Vasily Dmitrievich

Born in 1880 in Glukhov, Chernigov Governorate; from the nobility; graduated from the Mikhailovskaya Artillery Academy. Colonel of the Russian Army. Worked at PTZ (Pipe Factory) in 1907-1924, at Sevzapvoenprom and Patrubtrest in 1924-1928, technical director of the Samara Pipe Factory. Arrested on 08.04.1929 as a "participant in a sabotage organization in the military industry". Sentenced by the OGPU Collegium on 03.11.1929 to 10 years' imprisonment.
