Kashin Vladimir Nikolaevich

Genus. in 1890 in Tiflis, Russian, from the nobility, higher education - in 1923 he graduated from Petrograd University. In the 1930s became a researcher, first a senior scientific curator in the Manuscript Department of the Library of the USSR Academy of Sciences, then he was appointed deputy director for the scientific part of the State Russian Museum, headed the Historical and Household Department, which was part of it. Arrested 01/21/1933. By decision of the OGPU collegium dated 05/08/1933, the case was dismissed.
He continued to work at the State Academy of the History of Material Culture, and from 1934 at the Historical and Archeographic Institute, which in 1936 became the Leningrad Branch of the Institute of History of the USSR Academy of Sciences. He taught at the Faculty of History of the University restored in 1934. He published a number of research papers on Russian history of the 18th century, some of which were published after his death without mentioning his name. Lived in Leningrad, Lakhtinskaya st. 14, apt. 20. In 1937 political charges were brought against him and on 14 April 1937 he was arrested by the UNKVD of the Leningrad Region. Charged under Art. 58-10 and 58-11 of the Criminal Code. In the summer and autumn of 1937, he was treated in a psychiatric hospital, where he was sent from the House of Preliminary Detention. The visiting session of the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court dated February 18, 1938 was sentenced to VMN. Shot on February 18, 1938 in Leningrad. Rehabilitated by the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court on 10/20/1956.
