Stan Ian Ernestovich
Soviet politician, philosopher, dialecticist
Born in 1899 in the Wenden district of the Livonia province; Latvian; from a farm laborer background; higher education; member of the All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks). Employee of the publishing house "Soviet Encyclopedia". Lived in Moscow, Bolshaya Pirogovskaya St., Building 51, Apt. 669. Arrested on August 3, 1936. Sentenced to capital punishment by the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court of the USSR on June 19, 1937 on charges of participating in a counter-revolutionary right-left organization and creating a combat group to prepare terrorist attacks against the leaders of the All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks). Shot on June 20, 1937 in Moscow. Burial place: Donskoye Cemetery. Rehabilitated by the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court of the USSR on July 7, 1956.
