Kruzhkov Nikolay Nikolaevich

Born in 1900 (1901?) in Kaluga. In the 1930s he worked as a correspondent for the newspaper Pravda. In 1941 he was mobilized and transferred to the newspaper Krasnaya Zvezda, worked as a deputy editor . Colonel. Arrested on the night of 11.11. 1943, accused of anti-Soviet agitation and propaganda (Article 58-11 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR). Sentenced in April 1944 by a Special Conference of the NKVD to 10 years in a labor camp. Imprisoned in the Beskudnikovsky ITL near Moscow, a laborer at an experimental NKVD plant, and head of a finished goods warehouse. In the summer of 1948, he was transferred to Amurlag, worked on the construction of the Komsomolsk-on-Amur - Sovetskaya Gavan road, then worked as a paramedic. In 1953, he was released without rehabilitation. Moved to Angarsk. Worked as a planner in a motorcade. Rehabilitated by the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court of the USSR on 24.12.1954. In 1955 he moved to Moscow. He was reinstated in the party and the Writers' Union. He worked in the editorial office of the magazine "Ogonyok", in the literature department. He died in 1979. He was buried at the Vagankovskoye Cemetery in Moscow.
