Writer, journalist, theatre critic
Born in 1904 in Odessa; Jewish. Writer, journalist, correspondent for the newspapers Pravda and Izvestia, war correspondent, theater critic. Worked in the editorial office of the newspaper of the People's Commissariat of Defense "Military Training" as a correspondent and department head. Lived in Moscow. Arrested on 27.04.1945. Sentenced on 08.08.1945 by the Special Specialized Department of the NKVD under Art. 58-10 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR to 5 years in a labor camp with deprivation of rights. Imprisoned in the Northern Directorate of Railway Construction Camps ("SULZhDS"), Komi ASSR, settlement of Abez. He was in charge of the artistic department of the theater for prisoners of the Northern Directorate of Railway Construction of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Released in March 1949. Rehabilitated on 14.05.1955. Died in 1989 in Moscow.
