Eropkin Dmitry Ivanovich
Genus. in 1908 in St. Petersburg; nobleman; Russian; higher education - in 1929 he graduated from the astronomical department of the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics of Leningrad University. After graduating from the university, he became a supernumerary employee of the Astronomical Institute. In 1930 he entered graduate school at the Pulkovo Observatory. In 1930-1936. served as scientific secretary of the Commission for the Study of the Sun. Until 03/08/1936 - researcher at the Pulkovo Observatory. Arrested on December 4, 1936 in connection with the “Pulkovo case”, charged under Art. 58-6, 58-8 and 58-11 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR. Sentenced on May 25, 1937 by the visiting session of the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court of the USSR in a closed session in Leningrad to 10 years in prison with loss of political rights for 5 years and confiscation of property. In the Gryazovets prison of the GUGB NKVD of the USSR in the Volgograd region , sentenced on January 17, 1938 resolution of the Troika to the VMN. Shot on January 20, 1938. Rehabilitated by the ruling of the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court of the USSR dated August 10, 1955.
