Genus. in 1903 in St. Petersburg, in the family of a vice admiral; from the nobles. In 1913 he entered the First Cadet Corps, in 1917 he transferred to the Naval Cadet Corps. In March 1918, the Naval Corps was disbanded and forced to interrupt its formation. With his mother and younger brother, he was expelled from the apartment on the 10th line of Vasilyevsky Island. The family moved to Luga. From 1918 to 1921 - in the ranks of the Red Army. In 1922 he moved to Moscow and graduated from the workers' school. Drafted into the army in 1925, mobilized in 1926. He went to work as a mechanic at the Scientific Testing Institute of Communications (NIIS) of the Red Army, in 1928 he was transferred to design work. Arrested 04/30/1938. Sentenced on 08/19/1938 OSO AT THE NKVD of the USSR under Art. 58-7, 58-10 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR (sabotage, criminal agitation) to 8 years in labor camp. In custody in Kuloilag, Arkhangelsk region. At the beginning of 1940 he was transferred to the Moscow sharashka, to the special NKVD prison TsKB-29. Released 05/05/1941, continued work civilian employee at TsKB-29. In 1953, he was appointed to the position of Deputy General Designer A.N. Tupolev on equipment . Rehabilitated in 1992. Author of memoirs about the Tupolev sharaga and about A.N. Tupolev.
