Genus. in 1931 in Vinnitsa. Graduated from the Faculty of Philology of the Kyiv University. T. Shevchenko, majoring in Ukrainian language and literature. Candidate of Philology. Worked at the Institute of Literature. T. Shevchenko, Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR. Because of the active protest against the arrests of the Ukrainian intelligentsia on 09/04/1965. expelled from the party, transferred to another department of the Institute. Since 1966 worked as an editor at the Higher School publishing house until 1987. In 1972, during new arrests of the Ukrainian intelligentsia, for several months she was regularly summoned for interrogations by the KGB, in particular, in the case of Vasily Stus, to whom she gave a high positive characterization at the trial. A new wave of repressions - in connection with the arrests in 1977 of members of the Ukrainian Helsinki Group, with whom she had friendly relations. She was interrogated in the cases of M. Matusevich, M. Marinovich, V. Stus.
During the "perestroika" she returned to work at the Institute of Literature as a senior researcher at the Department of Manuscript Funds and Textual Studies.
