Lisovoy (Lisovy) Vasily Semenovich
Philosopher, organizer of samizdat in the 1960s. He issued an open letter in defense of the arrested sixties and, as a sign of solidarity, wished to be condemned along with them.
Genus. in 1937 in the Ukrainian SSR, Kiev region, Obukhov district, village. Art. Relatives; Ukrainian; higher education, graduated from the Faculty of History and Philology of Kyiv University in 1962; philosopher, junior researcher Research Institute of Philosophy of the Ukrainian SSR Academy of Sciences. Candidate of Philosophical Sciences. Lived in Kyiv. Arrested 07/06/1972. Sentenced by the Kyiv Regional Court on December 6, 1973 under Art. 62 Part 1 of the Criminal Code of the Ukrainian SSR to 7 years of penal colony and 3 years of exile. He served his term in Dubravlag and Perm camps, and exile in the Buryat Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic. In exile, he was sentenced to 1 year on trumped-up criminal charges. Released in July 1983. In Kyiv he could not get a job for a long time, and only after contacting the KGB he was accepted as a research assistant at the Kyiv History Museum. For two years he worked at the Velikodmitrivskaya school in the Obukhov district. In 1989 he was rehabilitated, restored to the rank of Candidate of Philosophical Sciences and to work at the Institute of Philosophy of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. Died on July 20, 2012.
