Turik Andrey Markovich
Genus. 10/14/1927 in the village. Tags in Volyn. Arrested in 1957 for participation in the OUN-UPA. Sentenced by a military tribunal to death, then the punishment was changed to 25 years in the penal colony, Art. 54-1a, 54-10, part 2, 54-11 of the old Criminal Code of the Ukrainian SSR. In 1972 he was kept in the Mordovian camps, then transferred to the Perm camps, l/o 36. On December 12, 1974, in a letter to the Chairman of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR, he demanded the status of a political prisoner. In the summer of 1975 he was transferred to Vladimir prison. In 1977, he was sent to Ukraine to visit his mother, who could not come to see him in prison or camp due to health reasons. The meeting was under the supervision of KGB officers and was terminated after half an hour, because the conversation turned to the conditions of detention of prisoners. For about two weeks, they carried out “preventative measures”, organizing, in particular, meetings with former prisoners. In 1978 he was transferred to the 19th zone of Dubravlaga, in 1980 - to the Armed Forces 389/36 of the Perm camps. He sought the right to emigrate.
