Genus. in 1938 in Tartu, ESSR; Estonian; high school student. Lived in Tartu, ESSR. Arrested on December 25, 1956 for creating the underground group “Estonian Youth Squad”. Sentenced by the Supreme Court of the ESSR on March 13, 1957 under Art. 58-10 part 1, 58-11 to 5 years in labor camp. Released on parole on June 21, 1960. After his release, he returned to Tartu and worked as a carpenter at RSU. Arrested on June 26, 1962 for creating an underground group “Union of Estonian Nationalists” among Estonian prisoners while serving his previous sentence. Sentenced by the Supreme Court of the ESSR on December 1, 1962 under Art. 68 part 2, 70, 207 of the Criminal Code of the ESSR by 5 years 6 months of the ITC. He served his sentence in Dubravlaga. Released on December 26, 1967. He worked as a stoker at the design institute "MEZHKOLKHOZSTROY", lived in Tartu, ESSR. Arrested on September 13, 1983 for active participation in the Estonian dissident movement. Sentenced by the Supreme Court of the ESSR on April 19, 1984 under Art. 68 part 2 of the Criminal Code of the ESSR to 10 years of imprisonment and 5 years of exile. He served his sentence in the Perm camps. By decree of the PVS of the ESSR dated September 29, 1988, he was pardoned. Released on October 14, 1988.
