Genus. 30.07. (according to other data, October 16.) 1880 in the village. Babino Kalushsky district (Galicia); Ukrainian; from the nobles; higher education. Studied law in Lvov, Vienna and Zurich; candidate of law (1914, Vienna). Published since 1897 in the Social Democratic press in Switzerland. From 1903 he worked as a lawyer and journalist in Lvov, collaborating in a number of publications. In 1907–1914 he lived and worked in Russia. During the First World War he participated in the activities of the Union for the Liberation of Ukraine. Member of the National Rada of the Western Ukrainian People's Republic (WUNR). From March 1919 – Deputy State. Secretary of Foreign Affairs of the WUNR government, headed the WUNR delegation in negotiations with Poland. In exile in Czechoslovakia, in 1921–1927 professor of international law and history of Ukrainian political thought at the Ukrainian Free University (Prague). In the USSR since 1927, lived in Kharkov. Teacher at the Kharkov Institute of National Economy and the Institute of Marxism, in 1928–1930 head. Department of Law, Institute of National Economy. Arrested on March 21, 1933 in the “Ukrainian Military Organization” case. Sentenced on September 23, 1933 by the judicial troika at the Collegium of the GPU of the Ukrainian SSR under Art. Art. 54-4, 6 of the Criminal Code of the Ukrainian SSR to 10 years in labor camp. In custody in Belbaltalag: in Kem (sea rafting) and on Solovki (arrived in May 1934), he was kept in the Savvatyevo special detention center. By resolution of the Special Troika of the UNKVD LO dated 10/09/1937 he was sentenced to VMN. Shot on November 3, 1937 in the Sandormokh tract (Karelian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic). Rehabilitated on September 24, 1957 by the Military Tribunal of the Kyiv Military District
