Genus. in 1895 in the village. Czechs Brodsky U. (Galicia); Ukrainian; member of the Communist Party (b)U since 1918. Worked in Kyiv and Kharkov in response. party positions. Former editor of the magazine “Life and Revolution”. In 1930–1932 deputy head of cultural propagation of the district and city party committees in Kharkov. Before the arrest, professor, deputy. Director of the Research Institute for the History of Material Culture. Arrested on May 11, 1933 in the “Ukrainian Military Organization” case. Sentenced on September 23, 1933 by the judicial troika at the Collegium of the GPU of the Ukrainian SSR under Art. 54-2, 4, 7, 11 of the Criminal Code of the Ukrainian SSR to 10 years in prison. In custody on Solovki, he was kept at the Kremlin camp in a solitary cell in a special isolation cell. By resolution of the Special Troika of the UNKVD LO dated 10/09/1937 he was sentenced to VMN. Shot on November 3, 1937 in the Sandormokh tract (Karelian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic). Rehabilitated.
