Krushelnitsky Anton Vladislavovich
Genus. 23.07. (04.08.) 1878 in Lancut (Western Galicia): Ukrainian, employee; higher education; non-partisan. Graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy of Lviv University. Published since 1899. He taught in Ukrainian gymnasiums in Lvov, Vienna and other cities, and was the director of Stanislav, Rogatyn and Gorodenkovskaya gymnasiums. Minister of Education of the UPR (from 04/09/1919). Emigrated to Austria, lived in Vienna. Editor of school anthologies on Ukrainian literature. In 1925 he returned to Western Ukraine, lived in Lvov, publisher and editor of the social and literary pro-Soviet magazine “Novi Shlyakhi” (“New Ways”, 1929–1932). He was persecuted by the Polish authorities, arrested on September 28, 1932, and until 1933 he was in a Polish prison in Lvov. After his release, he published the magazine “Criticism” (1933; 4 issues were published). In May 1934 he moved with his family to the Ukrainian SSR, lived in Kharkov, and worked as an employee of the Ukrainian Soviet Encyclopedia. Arrested on November 5, 1934, accused of “leading the Ukrainian center of the Association of Ukrainian Nationalists” and “preparing terrorist acts against representatives of the party and government.” Sentenced on March 28, 1935 by a visiting session of the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court of the USSR in Kiev under Art. 54-8-11 of the Criminal Code of the Ukrainian SSR to 10 years of labor camp. In custody on Solovki; was kept at the Muksalma camp, at the end of 1935 he was in the political isolation ward of the Solovetsky Kremlin, and in 1937 he went on a hunger strike. By resolution of the Special Troika of the UNKVD LO dated 10/09/1937 he was sentenced to VMN. Shot on November 3, 1937 in the Sandormokh tract (Karelian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic). Rehabilitated in the case of 1935 on October 19, 1957 by the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court of the USSR, in the case of 1937 - on December 3, 1957 by the Presidium of the Arkhangelsk Regional Court.
