Ukrainian scientist-hygienist, professor
Genus. 07/11/1889 in the city of Kamenets-Podolsk, Podolsk province; Ukrainian; from employees (according to other sources, from nobles); ex. member of the USDP (since 1918). Graduated from the Military Medical Academy in St. Petersburg (1913). Served as a military doctor in the Far East. In 1917–1920 he was an active participant in the national liberation movement in Ukraine, in January 1918 a member of the Central Rada of the UPR. After the establishment of Soviet power in Ukraine, he worked at the Institute of Public Education, professor. In 1921, director of the Scientific Research Institute of Physical Culture of the VUAN. In 1923, the founder of the Department of Professional Hygiene at Kiev Medical University. Institute, author of the first textbook “Occupational Hygiene” (1929). Member of the Presidium of the Medical Section of the All-Ukrainian Academy of Sciences. Lived in Kyiv, address before arrest: Kudryavskaya st., 10, apt. 5. Arrested on October 19, 1929 in the case of “Spilki liberation of Ukraine.” Sentenced on April 18, 1930 by the Supreme Court of the Ukrainian SSR under Art. 54-2, 11 of the Criminal Code of the Ukrainian SSR to 8 years in labor camp. In custody on Solovki. By resolution of the Special Troika of the UNKVD LO dated 10/09/1937 he was sentenced to VMN. Shot on November 3, 1937 in the Sandormokh tract (Karelian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic). Rehabilitated on August 11, 1989 by resolution of the Plenum of the Supreme Soviet of the Ukrainian SSR
