Genus. 13. (according to other data, 11.) 01.1898 in locality. Verkievka Nezhinsky district Chernigov province; Ukrainian, from the family of a zemstvo official, higher education, non-partisan. In 1917–1918 he studied at the Kyiv school of warrant officers. From the end of 1918 in Chernigov, he served as a translator in the district court. Graduated from the Institute of Public Education in Chernigov (1922), teacher of Ukrainian literature and language. At the same time, in 1919–1922 he worked at the Chernigov Ethnographic Museum. From 1924 he lived in Kyiv. Studied graduate school at the Institute of Literature. Shevchenko under VUAN, the answer worked. secretary in the editor's office magazine "Life and Revolution". In 1929 he was arrested in the case of “Spilka of the Liberation of Ukraine”, after a seven-month imprisonment he was sentenced to 3 years of probation. Before the second arrest, he was a teacher at the Industrial Workers' Faculty and the Communist University. Arrested on April 20, 1935 as “an active participant in a criminal terrorist organization.” Sentenced on 02/04/1936 by the Military Tribunal of the Kyiv Military District under Art. 54-8, 11 of the Criminal Code of the Ukrainian SSR to 10 years in labor camp; on 04/01/1936, under the same article, he was sentenced to 10 years in labor camp with confiscation of property. Imprisoned in Solovki (arrived in June 1936). He worked in agricultural work, later as a telephone operator in transport management. In September 1936 he refused to work on the construction of a prison, for which he was placed in a pre-trial detention center for 10 days. In the camp I wrote a paper about A.P. Chekhov. By resolution of the Special Troika of the UNKVD LO dated November 25, 1937, he was sentenced to VMN. Shot on December 8, 1937 in Leningrad. In the 1936 case, he was rehabilitated on January 23, 1958 by the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court of the USSR.
