Genus. in 1888 in the village. Shilovka Putivlsky district Kursk province (modern city of Buryn, Sumy region of Ukraine); Ukrainian; from peasants; secondary education (according to other sources, higher); teacher; member of the Communist Party (b)U. Graduated from the Kursk Teachers' Seminary (1907), teacher of primary schools. In 1915–1917 he studied at the Kharkov Commercial School (did not graduate). In 1917 he joined the Kharkov organization of the RSDDP(m), then joined the Communist Party (b)U. Lived in Kyiv. He was in charge of the Kyiv city education department. Then the secretary of the Berdichevsky district committee of the Communist Party (b)U, head. Kyiv provincial party school, teacher of political economy and dean of the socio-economic faculty of the Kyiv Institute of National Economy, head. department of agitation and propaganda of the Oktyabrsky district party committee of Kyiv, and then the Kyiv district committee. In 1927–1930 director, then rector of the Kyiv Institute of National Economy. Before the arrest, the director of the National Library of Ukraine (the modern Vernadsky National Library of the Academy of Sciences of Ukraine), at the same time the head. Kyiv Regional Department of Public Education. Arrested in connection with his demonstrative withdrawal from the party during the purge of the party organization of the All-Ukrainian Academy of Sciences (07/31/1933) in 1933. Sentenced on 01/14/1934 by the troika of the Board of the GPU of the Ukrainian SSR under Art. 54-11 of the Criminal Code of the Ukrainian SSR to 5 years of labor camp. In custody in Karlag (the village of Dolinskoye), then in Solovki. By resolution of the Special Troika of the UNKVD LO dated November 25, 1937, he was sentenced to VMN. Shot on December 8, 1937 in Leningrad. Rehabilitated in the 1934 case on August 3, 1960 by the Kyiv Regional Court; in the case of 1937 - 09/27/1969 by the Arkhangelsk Regional Court.
